That summer feeling

There was a slight sign of sunshine over the weekend which automatically makes me want to change my eyeshadow colours... Over the winter/spring months i have been wearing a lot of red browns and oranges, now its time to switch back to the cool colours..

On the inner corner i used a pale pink colour which then transitioned into darker pink and then purple ...
using a fanatic blending brush (MAC 217 dupe) to place the darkest purple on the outer corner and swept it slightly inward.. I then used Fanatic's pencil brush to place a matte black on the outer corner to create more intensity
the eyes were finished off with Fanatic Gel liner and mascara

I am defiantly embracing the season change and i look forward to wearing a lot more pops in my makeup

Practising cut crease

When life gets in the way it's easy to let your skills slip and not practise and keep your skills sharp. ..
So I used a combination of red, , pink, purple a little touch of orange it off my fanatic palette, and as always when I'm using white in a look I used sugar pills Tako.
Here is what I came up with
Why not pull out your coloured palettes and give it a go. ..

Is your hair weighing you down.... diy how i cut my hair

My hair had been driving me insane it was hard to manage and style. . So I decided to take the scissors to it.
°•○●¡!¡  please don't do this if u have never cut your own hair  ¡!¡●○•°
What you will need
A comb, hair grips, scissors and thinning scissors.

with there being a lot of weight in my hair sectioning it of was a must as i have a lot of hair 2 cut through

Then i used the ordinary scissors to remove a lot of the split and dead ends all over... After that i went in with the thinning scissors and took out a lot of the bulk in my hair

im really happy with the results

  have a great day

Primark Haul May 2013

With the slight change in season i decided it was time for some new style.
Where better to start than Primark.
Here is what i got

Primark leather jacket summer2013
BEIGE LEATHER JACKET £25
Leather is big on trend at the minuet so i chose a jacket that would carry me through seasons, i have seen a lot of coloured leather jackets in shops but after the summer would they have to be put away for the rest of the year

BLACK CARDAGIAN £6
Primark have a lovely range of short cardigans you would nearly walk past them as i feel they are directed toward an older client group. I also have versions of these in blue, and striped

SIMPLE BUCKLE SHOES £8
These are another item that you may walk past as they kinda look fuddy duddy (if that's the right term) but paired with skinny jeans i love them

CHIFFON VEST TOP £4
This super simple top is so pretty and easy to wear ill add some pics of that later

BAG ORGANIZER £3
Im Excited about this to say the least, i love anything that can add simplicity to our lives and to be honest my Handbag can be a source of stress for the simple reason i use a lot of Pauls Boutiques bags which are generally massive in size leaving it hard to find what you looking for, so this little gem make a lot of sense to me i like to change up my handbags a lot and the idea of packing my bag with a bag organizer and being able to lift that out and set it into another bag is genius. Ill do a test run with this and keep you posted fingers crossed there will now be a place for everything and everything in its place

GREEN FOOT WEAR £3 PINK FOOTWEAR £6

Apologies for the blurred photo but i wanted to throw it in there as mint is the whole seasonal  trend and i love comfort in my footwear so just thought id put it out there

Hope you enjoyed the pics

My Diy Ombre Hair - includes hair striping kit for dark hair

My quest for Ombre Hair

My hair 4 weeks on keep reading to see my step by step from black to brown with ombre ends :)

Hey guys, i decided i would Ombre my hair, i have been colouring and cutting my own hair for years after a lot of youtube and google searching i decided to go for it

Starting out my hair had a build up of dark colour i would definitely say it was black so there was no other choice for me other than to strip it .

To strip my hair i used Jo Baz Max Strength Hair colour Remover
Jo Baz max Strength hair colour remover - Ombre hair

I bought this in B&M stores for under £5 which i think is amazing considering hair colour removers in superdrug are around £10 or £11 .
I used two boxes for my hair as its is long and thick, i wanted to make sure all traces of black were removed

My before picture

My Dark hair before being stripped

The Process for striping my hair took around 2 hours. I put a plastic bag around it secured it with a hair grip and blasted it with the hair dryer. On the box it recommends that this process is done in a warm room as it will take effect quicker . I would recommend you are in a ventilated room with an open window and use a hair dryer as the fumes are very strong. If you are using a hair dryer make sure to keep to dryer moving as you don't want to point it on plastic in one area for to long. Here is the results of  my black hair striped.

My Stripped hair using jo baz max strength hair colour remover

As you can see the jo baz hair colour remover done a really good job. My hair had now changed a shade of orange which is what i was hoping for.

Next i applied Nice n easy in the shade 117d Natural Medium Cool
My Fear when using this colour is that any time i apply a dark brown colour to my hair it turns black. Although i usually use Clairol Perfect 10 . The problem i come up against is  my roots are fair so i need a dark colour to keep everything even and this resulted in the dark black hair .

When applying the colour it appeared to me that it was going on black and i was freaking out . I had already spent hours striping my hair i could have avoided all the work and just strip the ends.
Anyway i applied the 117d hair colour between half and three quaters of the way down making sure to leave the bottom third of my hair free of colour.

I left the colour on for around 30 mins then washed it of .
After that i dried of my hair and got ready for the last stage of the diy ombre hair effect.

For this i used L'oreal wild ombres in shade number 3
wild ombre shade 3 my quest for ombre hair
Shade 3 in wild ombre is recommended for blonde hair, i had this crazy notion that it may make my hair even lighter than the wild ombre that was recommended for dark hair.

Keeping in mind the ends of my hair are now stripped and of an orange tone.

I applied the wild ombre to the ends and slightly brought it up further in different areas so i didnt have a straight line i wanted a more gradient effect .

Please beware that this process is very hard on the hair and proper after care needs to  be taken to restore health to your hair.

Here is my final look
My Final Diy ombre hair look
Keeping in mind this whole process took me around 7 hours i have to say i am more than impressed with the result. The top of my hair is a nice rich brown colour ( my hair didn't turn black ) i really love it  the ends have a nice warm orange tone.

I done this around 4 weeks ago and i have been treating the ends of my hair with Moroccan oil. i will give it another week and reapply the dark brown and the wild ombre, this will give my ends a more vibrant colour on the ends

Good luck in you quest for ombre hair

5 min gym makeup

Gym makeup should be as quick as getting dressed ..
There is no reason for it to take long

Top tips

•Have your makeup brushes in order
I like to keep my face brushes together and eye brushes together

• Choose an easy to use foundation and a kabuki style brushes to give super quick coverage and blends to give an even coverage

•Using palettes for makeup are ideal as this gives you choice,
all your eyeshadows are together in one palette and this means you don't have to run around looking a highlighter or a blending colour ...

•my main advice would be to define the lash line with a dark shadow and a flat liner brush or an angled brush this adds definition to the eyes with out gel or liquid eyeliner .

Products I used are from www.fanaticcosmetics.com

Please back up you laptop / computer / phones

Hey guys
Happy Sunday to you all hope you are all having a lovely weekend .
I just want to do a small post on backing up your laptop.
In January we got a new laptop my other laptop was around 18 months old, but it had gotten slow due to all the added programmes and photos.

For the past 8 weeks I had a wee voice in my head saying "pull out your hard drive and back up your laptop"
With the many millions of things that get in the way of doing something as boring as backing your photos I never got round to backing up the laptop.

The day it happened was one week ago today the laptop froze it wouldn't turn of it completely lost life.. So i tried to a few simple resets but nothing happened now the laptop wouldn't turn on.. So I don't know if I had an outer body experience but I hit full system restore .. When I realised what I had done I tried to stop it but basically it was too late.
I had no choice but to do a full system restore which ment i lost Everything!!

I lost all the photos that had been taken in sculpt makeup academy since we opened, unless of course they are on a social media site, probably the hardest thing for me  was the kids photos - 18 mths of their wee lives gone.Thats not to say i dont have photos of them i do but its just heart breaking to think the photos are gone especially since they grown so quick.

The moral of the story is back up your devices and machines our lives are on the things and one wrong slip of a finger and its all gone.

have a fab day what ever you are doing

Les miserables WARNING APPROACH WITH CAUTION

Having just gotten home from the cinema and my emotions are running HIGH i wanted to recommend Les Miserables to Every one that is of age to watch it

MY ONLY WORD OF WARNING IS DO NOT WEAR MAKEUP TO SEE THIS FILM !!!

I basically cried from start to finish so bringing lots of tissues with you is a must . There was a space in the middle that i got to enjoy some nibbles, but crying and popcorn don't mix that well, my Gel liner  and my lovely smokey brown eyemakeup was EVERYWHERE...

The cast that were involved in this movie were outstanding they included :Hugh Jackman , Anne Hathaway, Russell Crow, Amanda Seyfried and many more

There is an early scene with Anne Hathaway i found hard to watch so just be aware of this

Having watched trailers i didn't think this movie was for me. HOW WRONG I WAS ! If you are familiar with the setting of the film and it doesn't interest you don't let it put you off as the story line is AMAZING!!  It was also surprising to me how much of the music and songs i was familiar with and i do believe that my husband would enjoy this, so  don't let your other half tell you its not something they would watch.

i just want to say i highly recommend this film its on my dvd list when its released.....

ill be singing allllll night !!!!!!!! :)
